Pie Time

For Thanksgiving, the cabin turns its fondest thoughts from crafting ...

... to baking. This classic pumpkin pie was the centerpiece:

This is the loaded pear and plum pie is based on a magazine piece on a pie baker from Mission Beach, California ... does this classic cherry (although I folded in an additional serving of the pastry cream recipe included with another recipe for apple-cranberry pie).
